The position combines two key areas of support:
Computer Assistance

Duration: Approximately 1 hour per session

Frequency: Sessions usually occurring on one day each week, and may not be required every week. This depends on the staff member’s timetable and workload.
- Scheduling: Sessions will be arranged at a mutually convenient time, with full consideration given to the support worker’s course timetable.
- Nature of Work:
- Operating the computer under verbal instruction
- Tasks may include:
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Materials writing
- aFLAME Disability Network administration (e.g., booking rooms)
- The range of tasks may evolve over time
Mobility Assistance

Duration: Up to 60 minutes per day, split into 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon

Frequency: Normally required Monday to Thursday
- Scheduling: Timings will vary and be negotiated in advance to suit both parties
- Nature of Work:
- Morning: Assist with wheelchair mobility from the car to the office in Wessex House
- Afternoon: Assist from the office back to the car
