We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Casual Administrative Assistant to support the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences Placements Team during the 2025–26 academic year.

This varied role will primarily involve researching and promoting placement opportunities on our vacancy management system. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Responding to emails
  • Assisting with digital content creation and managing our social media channels
  • Supporting document management and general administrative tasks

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in an office environment and develop your professional skills as part of a friendly, supportive team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have some prior administrative or customer-facing experience
  • Be confident using digital systems and working independently with a high level of accuracy
  • Have a strong interest in communications and social media, particularly in crafting engaging and professional content (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Be organised and proactive, with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Be comfortable using databases and spreadsheets to manage information efficiently
  • Understand the importance of discretion, especially when working with personal data
  • Be reliable and willing to learn new systems and tasks
  • Previous experience working in a recruitment or HR environment would be an asset but not essential
