The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences needs you!

Do you want to become an ambassador for your course by helping out at virtual events, producing social media content, or answering the same questions you had when you applied?

Then please fill out the form linked below by 31 October to let us know which work you’d be interested in, and we’ll be in touch in the coming weeks:

https://forms.office.com/e/RMvTipYYgM

The going rate for hourly paid worker roles is currently £12.60 (CW2).

The Ambassador Platform

On TAP, prospective students can ask any questions they have about the course they’re interested in. We know prospective students get a lot from speaking to current students and being able to hear about your experiences. This is an online role, and really easy to fit around your other commitments. You will probably spend about two hours a week answering questions, sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on demand. The TAP website has a great section with information about the platform and being an ambassador.

Open Days and other virtual events

Whether you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate student, there are centrally organised events throughout the year where we welcome prospective students and offer holders in person or online to explore the University and ask us questions. You’ll be helping our staff in the faculty live chat, course webinar Q&As or physical stand on campus.

Content creation

Are you comfortable in front of a camera and happy to share your experience about living and studying in Bath? We’ll occasionally put out a call for new photography for our website and social channels, but this year we’re also setting up a dedicated group of content creators for short YouTube videos, reels, etc. - anything from scholarship ‘how tos’ to budgeting breakdowns, ‘GRWMs’ and placement office tours.

Depending on popularity it’ll need to be first come, first served for these opportunities, but there’s no reason we can’t have more than one representative for each course if it proves popular. Some of the work can be ad hoc throughout the year, so we can’t guarantee fixed monthly or weekly hours.

It would be amazing to hear from you if you’re interested. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
