The swimming kicked off Friday night with Freestyle relay heats in which bath comfortably qualified for the final. After a full day of racing the finals started on Saturday night with great performances from Jennifer Oldham in the 50m backstroke finishing 2nd and Andrew Willis in the 200m breaststroke finishing 1st, gaining us some very important BUCS points. Also on the Saturday night in the final of the freestyle relays the women’s team finished 5th and the men’s finished 4th.

After a tiring weekend of racing Bath still managed to pull something extra out of the bag for the medley relays on Sunday night where the women’s team finished 8th and the men managed to gain a podium position coming 3rd.  Overall the men’s team managed to finish in 3rd place and considering the small team and difficult circumstances Bath finished in 5th place. Thanks to all the swimmers that competed, especially those that were ill or injured.

Other swimmers that successfully made individual finals over the weekend included Justin Austin, Luke Spain, Eamon Rivers, Ashley Pattison, Hayley Towner, Omiros Zagkaz, Edward Allchrone, David Kelleway, Warren Cannon, Julia Scrivin and Carly Hayles.
