Societies can now put in booking requests for any shows, regular rehearsals, or other creative activities they'd like to hold in The Edge next year!
The Edge is very in demand throughout the year for shows, rehearsals, workshops, and other activities. In order to allow all groups to have a fair allocation of time and help you plan your activities, every year we ask our societies to book their shows and rehearsals for the following year.
We encourage anyone who may want time to fill in the forms, but please note that we will prioritise artistic and creative activities at The Edge (though this doesn't have to be from Arts societies). We can't guarantee that we can allocate space to everyone.

How the process works
Committees for any SU groups who would like shows or regular rehearsal time for the 2022/23 academic year MUST request this via the forms below. We will not be able to book these at a later date, as things will fill up. These are REQUESTS for space only. Due to the demand for spaces, you may not be allocated exactly what you have asked for, but we will try to make sure as many people as possible get space.
The deadline for all of the forms will be Monday 4th April 2022.
The Arts team will take all requests for space and try to make everything fit in the calendar as best we can. For those requesting shows, we will also make sure to add in any time required for show rigs, tech rehearsals, and dress rehearsals. Once we have a calendar put together, we will send groups their allocated booking time. This should be before the end of the academic year.
It will be the committees' responsibility to handover all details about booked slots to the next committee, who will be able to put all of these events together!

Please fill in the below forms by Monday 4th April if you would like to make a booking request. Please note all forms should be filled in by group committees ONLY. Individuals may not book time via this process.
2022/23 Show Request Form
Please fill in this form if you would like to hold a show in The Edge next year. You should submit a separate form for each show that you are requesting.
2022/23 Regular Rehearsal Request Form
Please fill in this form if you would like regular rehearsal slots at The Edge or Dartmouth Avenue. Any society can request a slot, but we will prioritise The Edge those wanting space for artistic activities. Societies can request multiple slots if they need this for their society activities.
2022/23 One-off or Short Term Booking Request Form
Please fill in this form to request a one-off or short-term booking. For example, this could be be society workshops, taster sessions, or additional rehearsals prior to a show or competition. Unlike shows and regular rehearsals, we are able to book additional one-off time for societies throughout the year, so you can reach out to us at any other time if you would like to book space for a particular reason, but we want to give societies the opportunity to book early if they have particular activities planned.
