The ICIA (Instutute of Interdisciplinary & Contemporary Arts) is the University's arts organisation, offering a wide and exciting range of dance, music, theatre and visual arts.
The new programme of events, sessions and activities is already underway, including:
Holly Davey Exhibition (Sat 18 Oct to Sun 4th Jan)
The ICIA has teamed up with the Holburne Museum to co-commission Holly Davey's exhibition The Nameless Grace which is on display at the Holburne. When artist Holly Davey was invited to undertake a period of research within the museum’s collections, she developed a fascination in the three Holburne sisters, especially Mary Ann Barbara (1802-1882), the last of the Holburne family line. The exhibition works with the objects in the collection and research around the period to uncover the largely forgotten existence of these women’s lives. Admission is free to the exhibition. The second half will be in the new Centre for the Arts in Feb next year. There's also an artist talk on Fri 17 Oct, 7.30pm, £10.
Bill Aitchison - Tour of All Tours (Fri 24- Sun 26 Oct, 11am & 3pm)
This is a tour of Bath by artist Bill Aitchison who has been on every tour of Bath City Centre! He has produced his own tour of these tours which create an amusing look at tourism and how the city is presented in many different ways. It's also a good opportunity to find out more about the city and is free to Freshers! Find out more
