Things have dramatically changed overnight. Please seek support if you need it.
Since our last update things have dramatically changed overnight. We are now entering our third national lockdown. We know this news will hit many of you hard and we strongly encourage you to speak out if you’re struggling. Key contacts are signposted at the end of this article.
Once again, we know there are many unknowns about what University life will look like in the coming months. We understand the pressure and stress this may cause, particularly during this revision and assessment season.
If you have any questions, or are worried or anxious regarding exams then our Advice team is here to support you. They can talk you through the different processes available e.g. Individual mitigating circumstances (IMCs), extensions and deferring and will support you to complete which ever process is best for you. This includes advising you on what to put in your form and the evidence to provide and which other services can help you. We also recommend speaking with your Head of Department and personal tutor. Read the full guidance on IMC’s.
We're meeting with key university staff to make sure your concerns about no detriment and rents are raised and we’re listening as we gather thoughts and feedback directly about the impact the latest news will have.
We will continue to represent all our student community and together we can find the right pathways and solutions to make these next few months the best that they can be.
We will continue to update you with our plans and direction as soon as possible.
