NUS National Conference 2018

Today is the start of the National Union of Students (NUS) annual conference in Glasgow. Over the next three days, nearly 1000 delegates from students' unions across the country will come together to discuss, debate and vote on important motions.

Your delegates, Eve Alcock, Simon Connolly, Brad Baines, Chloe Page and Ben Davies will be voting on policy that will have a big impact on you as a student. Some of these affect national policy, with policies ranging from Brexit to mental health.

The SU has submitted four motions to conference. These are on sexual harassment and assault, VC pay and governance, welfare and inclusivity reps on sports team committees and trade unions.

Your delegates will also be selecting the next leadership of NUS. These votes will prove critical in setting the direction of NUS.
