Sad news of the passing of Phoebe Ablorde, 3rd year Chemical Engineering student

We are deeply sorry to hear that Phoebe Ablorde, a third year Chemical Engineering student has passed away following a short illness. Her funeral will be held on Friday 4 January in her hometown. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this very sad time.

Phoebe was an active member of the Students’ Union, and belonged to a number of SU Groups during her time here at Bath. This academic year Phoebe was a member of Innovation without Borders, People and Planet, TedX, and Women in Business (WIB).

Dr Tom Arnot, a Senior Tutor in Chemical Engineering, said: “Phoebe was a wonderful young woman who was a pleasure to work with and will be greatly missed by all of us.”

We know that Phoebe’s death will affect her friends and fellow students, if you would like any guidance and support during this difficult time, there are a number of services available on and off campus offering help to anyone who needs it.
