On Friday 20 April, students and staff came together for the annual SU Skills Training Celebration at The Edge. This event is a fantastic opportunity to recognise students' commitment to their personal and professional development by taking part in the programme.
Awards were presented by Kimberley Pickett, SU Activities Officer, who highlighted the importance of skills development in today’s competitive job market, as well as emphasising how The SU’s Skills Training programme is impressively student led.
Guest speaker Kate Buffery, Student Recruitment Officer from PwC, sponsors of the training programme, was there to see students awarded. Along with Dr Margarida Dolan, The SU’s Train the Trainers and Leadership Adviser, who provides our student trainer team with important training each year.
The SU’s student trainer team were commended for their impressive efforts in leading the Skills Training programme this academic year. Student trainer team co-chairs Naomi Clarke and Francesca Carta highlighted the crucial contributions of every team member in delivering 27 successful workshops for students.
