The SU Officers have written to the University Finance Committee and members of Council regarding proposed rent increases for the next academic year.
The SU Officers wrote to the University Finance Committee on 01 February in response to a proposal to rise rents by an average of 7.05% across the University Estate, compared to the Government’s 2.8% rise in maintenance loan.
We believe that this rise will have a measurable impact on the wellbeing of students and the student experience here at Bath.
The Officers call on the University Executive to take action, consider if the rise is appropriate and do everything within their power to reduce the impact on our students.
