We are delighted to say that two Lloyds Scholars - Abraham Bayo-Tofowomo and Alexandra Gipp - have been chosen to do a Summer Internship at Lloyds Banking Group.
The Lloyds internship is an extremely sought-after placement, with over 7,700 applications received for just 50 available places. Only two Lloyds Scholars in the UK were given a place and both were from the University of Bath.
The internships are 10 weeks long and cover areas including Commercial Banking, Finance, and Retail Customers & Products. In these roles Interns spend valuable time in the industry, working on challenging projects and making career-building connections.

Second-year Economics student Alexandra said, “I am really looking forward to it and so pleased to have been offered a place”.
Third-year Computer Science student Abraham added "Wow, I thank God! I am grateful to Lloyds Banking Group for offering me a place in commercial banking. I look forward to playing a role in supporting the Group's clients whilst developing my professional skills."
Annette MacDonald, Lloyds Scholars Manager said "We are delighted to shortly welcome both Alexandra and Abraham to Lloyds Banking Group’s highly-sought after Summer Internship programme as we continue to help play a part in helping talented Lloyds Scholars on their journey through university, and into exciting careers beyond."
Katherine Everton, Lloyds Scholar Administrator at The SU added "This is absolutely fantastic for the Scholars and a great accolade for the University. We are very pleased for them both and hope they have a rewarding Summer.”
