What We Do
Welcome to SU Bath Petrolhead Society - for car and bike enthusiasts alike!
We are more than just a club. We're a community of like-minded enthusiasts who share a passion for the open road and high-revving engines. We host regular events and socials to get everyone involved in all things combustion. You don't have to own a car or bike to get involved, there are all sorts of events you can join us in as well as in-depth discussions delving into the automotive world. We love working on, watching, and driving all kinds of cars; so whether you're a seasoned Petrolhead or are just getting started in the world of horsepower, we look forward to meeting you!
Events
We aim to run regular events throughout the year, focussing on a wide range of activities that everyone can get involved in. And we love to get involved in meets and events in our local area.
Previously we've hosted:
- Car Meets On and Off Campus
- Day-long road trips around the South West and Beyond
- Show screenings featuring such highlights as The Grand Tour and Pixar's Cars
- Quiz nights
And we have lots on the cards for this year including:
- Factory Tours (BMW Swindon)
- Scalectrix Race Nights
- Workshop Days
Road Trips
The highlights of our year are our day-long road trips. We head out as a group exploring the beautiful scenery and fantastic roads around us. It doesn't matter what you drive, from sporty convertibles to practical estates, we welcome everyone on our trips. And we have plenty of passenger space if you don't have a car of your own!
Our 2024 Wales road trip took us on a 300-mile loop across to the Brecon Beacons along some awesome roads, stopping at dams, forests, lakes and so much more.
And we're excited for more trips this year, featuring destinations such as the Cotswolds, the South Coast, and Dartmoor.
