What We Do
Witamy! Welcome to the Polish Society!
Our society brings together Poles, people with some Polish heritage, and people who are simply interested in our culture.
Last year was challenging for all the societies, so we hope that this year we will kickstart this society from the beginning. The bulk of our event will be social events and celebrations of some of the more original Polish festivities. We want to become a community where you can meet new people, share interests, and have a good time. We also hope to organize trips to other cities to meet other Polish societies in the UK.
We invite you to join us and look forward to meeting you!
Reasons to Join Us
Do you want to learn about Poland and its culture? Maybe you’ve got some Polish heritage that your grandparents went on about and you want to get a new perspective? Or you happened to visit Poland during your holiday, were confused by what you’ve seen and need some explanations? If the answer to any of those questions is ‘YES’, then the PolishSoc is the place for you!
Pierogi. Trust me. Look it up if you really need to. It’s worth joining just for the taste of some fried pierogi. Oh, and the paczki don’t hurt either.
The socials. Yeah, we all know the stereotype of the zealous catholic Pole and drinking – only by joining our society will you learn how wrong and outdated it is. We guarantee that you will have a lot of fun, whether you prefer to taste some of the many Polish alcoholic beverages or not.
The year 2021/2022. Membership for all the societies only costs 3£ so it's almost free. After a hard year for societies, we hope to create an active and fun environment for everyone.
