This workshop will cover:

-       An introduction to mental health

-       How to spot someone is struggling

-       Being a “supporter” not a “fixer”

-       Communication and listening techniques

-       Knowing what support is out there

-       Boundaries

-       Looking after themselves 

-       Action planning

By the end of this sessions students will have a good understanding of how best to support others who are struggling with their mental wellbeing. They will understand how to start conversations, know the boundaries and make sure they are looking after themselves also. They will have workbook to take away with them with useful information as well as an action plan.
