Triathlon Charity Challenge 2015
Triathlon Charity Challenge: Bike The UK For MS
The 2017/18 year saw yet another hugely successful 24 hour Charity Challenge for the University of Bath Triathlon Club. With a sprint finish for the final 30 minutes, the team clocked up a whopping 3,392 miles, surpassing the official Bath to New York distance of 3,370 miles with seconds to spare. The 50+ team members tagged on and off to rack up the miles including the dedicated night shift of 6 riders.
All in, the team raised an incredible £1,203.76 for Bike the UK for MS, a charity set up by a University of Bath graduate which aids local MS support groups, including in Bath, and funds research projects to help end MS.
Special mentions must go to Flo Margaroli and Joanna Goodhead for both smashing 200km each, that’s right EACH, and for enduring the night shift. Also a huge thank you to everyone that donated, but especially Alex Freeman for being the highest individual fundraiser amongst the club.
What can we achieve in 2018/19? Can Bath to New York be trumped? Join us in October as the club goes again!
