Triathlon Charity Challenge: Bike The UK For MS

Every year, the University of Bath Triathlon Club hold a Challenge for Bike the UK for MS - a charity set up by a University of Bath graduate which aids local Multiple Sclerosis support groups, and funds research project to help end MS. As a club, we aim to cycle as far as possible on turbos in 24 hours.

The 2017/18 year saw a hugely successful 24 hour Charity Challenge for the University of Bath Triathlon Club. With a sprint finish for the final 30 minutes, the team clocked up a whopping 3,392 miles, surpassing the official Bath to New York distance of 3,370 miles with seconds to spare. The 50+ team members tagged on and off to rack up the miles including the dedicated night shift of 6 riders. All in, the team raised an incredible £1,203.76.

Special mentions must go to Flo Margaroli and Joanna Goodhead for both smashing 200km each, that’s right EACH, and for enduring the night shift. Also a huge thank you to everyone that donated, but especially Alex Freeman for being the highest individual fundraiser amongst the club.

Join us in October as the club goes again!
