Education Awards 2021

Last Thursday we celebrated the Education Awards 2021 virtually. It was such a special evening where we got to celebrate all the incredible work that both Students and Staff have done during what’s been an especially tough year.

Talking to camera in a room with 8 people in isn’t exactly how I thought I would be celebrating Education Awards, but it certainly was a special way to end an almost fully virtual year as an SU Officer.

I’m extremely grateful to have had such a fantastic Academic Exec this year who have helped me support our incredible Academic Reps, not just by highlighting issues but by bringing practical solutions to our meetings. Together we’ve changed your IPT session, quickly adapted and monitored online assessments, developed policies and supported students across the University. Our Academic Reps have also proven invaluable, without them some of the changes you will have seen happen on your course from duration of exam time to enhancing inclusivity practices would not have been possible. And of course, the SU team, they are the backbone of ensuring our reps are trained and supported throughout the year.

A massive congratulations to those shortlisted and the winners of our student led awards from the Education Awards.
