Our biggest event of the year has finally arrived! The Sleigh Ball is one you won't want to miss - it is being held on Thursday the 11th of December from 6:30pm - 11:30pm at The Tub.
We will be joined by the one and only: Kiki Riku! Kiki is a dark and stupid queen who's looking for love in all the wrong places. She claims to be a gothic queen, but in reality, she just wears a lot of black (because that's all she has) NEVERTHELESS! Kiki is always here to entertain, and she'll certainly give you something to write home about - and maybe to the police as well! She will be hosting our Pub Quiz and will also be delivering a stunning drag performance at the end of the night, so stay tuned!
The dress code for this event is CAMP! If you have a crazy outfit that has been sitting in your wardrobe waiting for the right time, tonight is the night! If it doesn't feel fun enough, you can make your way to the 'Decoration Station', which will have accessories like rainbow garlands and glow bracelets - there is always an opportunity for an extra glam-up!!
Tickets are £4.99 and available to all students - a society membership is not required (but allyship definitely is!!).
All profits will go towards the Gender Expression Fund. This is a fund of up to £50 which is available to trans+ students to reduce some financial barriers to transitioning. More information about the GEF can be found at https://www.thesubath.com/lgbt/genderidentity/#GEF
Food and drinks will be available to purchase from The Plug. The venue has step-free access and is wheelchair-accessible. We expect this event to have moderately high noise levels and flashing lights, and there will likely be alcohol consumption. Please ensure this event is suitable for you before purchasing a ticket. You can apply for a refund up to 48 hours before the event - refund requests after this time will not be processed.
