The Batik Painting Workshop will be a cultural showcase event introducing students to the heritage and artistry of Indonesian batik, a traditional hand‑dyed fabric technique. The workshop aims to raise awareness of batik’s cultural significance while offering an accessible creative experience for all students.

Participants will create their own batik‑inspired designs using fabric paint on black T‑shirts or fabric. They may bring their own cotton clothing or fabric, and the committee will also provide a small booth where students can purchase thrifted black clothing items.

The event promotes cultural exchange, creativity, and sustainable fashion through upcycling, and is open to all University of Bath students, with no prior art experience required
