This Week we've got a speaker coming in to teach us a bit of Ancient LGBT+ History! Hadrian is well known these days as the "Gay Emperor", but what is the story behind his relationship with young Antinous? And what did this mean for the people of Rome? Did they approve, or did they mock their emperor? Were other people in the Roman LGBT+ community able to be open about their identities? Cheryl Morgan takes us back to Hadrian's time, and finds much different, but also much very familiar about queer life in the Roman Empire.

Cheryl Morgan is a co-chair of OutStories Bristol <https://outstoriesbristol.org.uk/> and a regular speaker on queer life in the ancient world. Follow her on Twitter as @CherylMorgan on online at Chery's Mewsings <https://www.cheryl-morgan.com/>.
