Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated student to join our team to provide administrative support to the Peer Support Team. The role will be varied and interesting, and duties could include the following:
- Support development of promotional materials and online training
- Responding to general enquiries
- Help with the setup of training, when required
- Provide office support/cover
- Communication with Student Leaders
- Help with the administration for events
- Recording PAL registers on databases
- Taking minutes for meetings
- General admin support needed for the area as directed by your line manager.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about Peer Support and willing to learn about the planning and administration of the schemes. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail, and be able to organise their time and prioritise effectively. It is desirable the candidate has previous experience within Peer Mentoring/ PAL schemes/ Student Trainer Schemes at the University of Bath.
Training will be provided.
Hours required: The Peer Support Team are looking to employ a small team of administrators to help cover the office, for up to 4 hours each day. Shifts will be regular but can be flexible around your schedule. This role includes an expectation of availability during holiday periods, including the Summer Holiday.
Location: This role will mostly be based in The Peer Support Office, which is in the Student Leader Hub, on the First Floor of The Edge (Claverton Down Campus).
