About The Role

As a Casual Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of your outlet. You’ll lead the team during shifts, maintain high standards of service, and deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Opening or closing the outlet and completing checklists accurately
• Reporting any issues or anomalies to the duty manager (support always available)
• Responding to customer queries, including allergy and dietary requirements, escalating when necessary
• Delegating daily tasks and supporting the team
• Ensuring food safety standards are met, including temperature checks and cleaning schedules
• Preparing for and serving booked functions and events
• Providing clear handovers to colleagues
• Maintaining clean, well-presented customer areas

We Require The Following

• Flexibility to work on shifts that could be mornings from 07:00 and evenings to 08:30, weekends & weekdays
• Available for a minimum of two shifts per week with a start date in February 2026.  More availability will be needed during July, a very busy month.
• As well as your skills, we're interested in you and your personality; we need real team players who are keen to learn.
• A positive attitude, demonstrating an ability to form effective working relationships with other team members.
• The ability to work in a safe environment and protecting others around you.
• You should have a proactive attitude and be prepared to work under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment.

In return University of Bath will offer good pay rates of £13.22 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay this equates to £14.82 per hour.

The positions are on a casual basis and hours will therefore be flexible as and when required by the business. Pay is monthly in arrears. Full training will be provided.
