Reliable and flexible Architectural Technician required to work on a variety of exciting UK construction projects with a small family design studio based in Dorset.
This opportunity would be perfect for a student studying Architecture or related subject. The successful candidate will gain experience in producing both layout and technical designs, to UK specifications, for residential and commercial schemes.
This role is fully remote, no site or office attendance will be required. Work will be assigned each Monday with a clear deadline for completion. Work can be completed at times that suit you, provided deadlines are met (usually within 7 days of assignment).
Full support and training will be given to produce highly detailed plans, elevations, sections and details. We hope that the successful candidate will gain extensive and valuable experience, while working on real world projects, for their future careers.
The successful candidate will receive a minimum of 4 hours of work per week at a rate of £12.71 per hour, will be a PAYE employee of the practice with pro rata holiday allowance, pay will be via BACS on the last working day of each month and employment will be subject to a 6 month probation period.
Further work each week, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week during term time, may be available but will be at the discretion of both the practice and/or the employee.
As this role is fully remote, our team regularly communicates via email, slack and video calls (Teams / Zoom etc). All candidates are required to have an excellent & stable internet connection, a Windows PC suitable to run AutoCAD Lt 2026 with webcam + microphone and a smart mobile phone. AutoCAD Lt 2026 license will be provided by employer.
Basic experience / knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
