The SU is looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and creative student to join our Marketing Team as a Social Media Content Creator, primarily focusing on TikTok. 

This is a fixed term role, with five hours a week working alongside the SU Marketing team between now and the end of the academic year (June 2026). You’ll play a key part in helping us create content for students, with a key objective of bringing the SU venues (bar, nightclub, cafe) to life on social media. 

What You’ll Do 

• Plan, create and edit original content for TikTok and Instagram Reels. 

• Promote SU events, campaigns, and services through social media.  

• Engage with students and help build excitement around SU life.  

• Be willing to be on camera for social media campaigns. 

• Work alongside students and staff to create engaging content. 

• Keep up to date with trends and updates and look out for existing user generated content.

• Skilled in using TikTok and Instagram to create fun, relatable, and informative content. 

• Friendly, reliable, and proactive. 

• Creative and full of ideas. 

• Someone who is quick to react to online trends.  

• Passionate about student life and the SU. 

• Someone who can work evenings and weekends. 

• Able to produce content with a quick turnaround. 

• Someone able to follow brand guidelines and requirements.

Details

Pay: £12.60 per hour + Holiday pay – Total £14.12 per hour.

Hours: 5 hours per week, term time only!

Equipment: You’ll need access to a smartphone capable of capturing and editing short-form video content. Microphones and selected equipment are available to borrow from SU Marketing.

We are seeking someone who can start as soon as possible. Our ideal is to find a student who will be with us for the next academic year as there will be an opportunity for this role to continue in September!
