Details

This role is vital to our Leave No Trace Departures Campaign, which runs throughout June. When students leave at the end of term, we sort through donated items to ensure they are either prepared for reuse when students return or redistributed to local charities.

If you enjoy making a positive difference and gain satisfaction from practical, meaningful work that supports sustainability and the local community, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to get involved. Paid training will be provided as part of the role.

  • passionate about sustainability and environmental issues
  • have attention to detail
  • able to work independently
  • enjoy working with a variety of people including staff and students
  • looking for experience in working on an environmental campaign

This is a physical role that involves regular manual handling, including lifting, carrying, moving and sorting donated items. Tasks may require prolonged periods of standing, bending, and repetitive activity. The role therefore requires a reasonable level of physical fitness and the ability to follow safe manual handling techniques in line with health and safety guidance

  • Making up pre-love kitchen and dining packs
