Get ready for a night of glamour at the Masquerade Ball on Monday 24 & Tuesday 25 November at the stunning Guildhall in Bath! Due to the huge success in previous years and the event selling out so quickly, this year we are holding the same event over two nights so more students have the chance to experience this event! The event will be the same both nights so please just purchase tickets for one night!

FAQs – Masquerade Ball
1. I have accessibility needs – what should I do?
The main function room is located on the first floor. Due to venue limitations, we kindly ask that you let us know about any access requirements in advance so we can best support you in attending the event. We’ll make you aware of alternative entrances and the location of the lift if necessary. Please contact the Societies Team at susocieties@bath.ac.uk.
2. What happens if I get too drunk?
If you are too intoxicated or acting inappropriately, you may be asked to leave. Please be respectful to staff and other guests.
3. Is there somewhere to put my coat?
Yes! There will be a free cloakroom available after your ticket has been scanned and before you go upstairs. You will need to retain your cloakroom ticket for collection at the end of the night.
4. Will there be photography at the event?
Yes, photographers will be capturing moments throughout the evening. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the photographer know.
5. Do I have to wear a mask?
Masks are not compulsory, but they are strongly encouraged to keep with the theme.
6. What is the dress code?
Formal attire is recommended to match the theme of the event.
7. Are tickets refundable or transferable?
If you can no longer attend, please contact us directly so we can refund you. Do not arrange ticket sales yourself.
If you wanted to attend but couldn’t get a ticket, please reach out to the Societies Team to check if any are available. Please do not purchase tickets directly from other students.
8. Will food and drinks be available?
There will be a bar at the venue where you can purchase a range of drinks, but this is not a catered event.
9. Is there an age restriction?
Yes, this event is strictly for students aged 18 and over. Please bring your ID and library card with you.
10. Will there be security at the event?
Yes, security staff will be present throughout the evening to ensure everyone’s safety.
11. Is there a quiet space or chill-out area?
If you feel you need to have some time away from the event, please ask at the Bar or find a member of SU staff that can help you.
