End of Year at The SU!

A reflection on the Academic Year 2024/25

What an amazing year we have had at The SU. We want to thank every single student who has connected with us in some way. Whether that’s through volunteering your time as a student leader, being a regular visitor of the Plug, or supporting others through peer mentoring, there are so many ways you have been involved and made a difference.

We continue to see amazing successes from our clubs, societies and student groups, and each year we are more impressed with how much time students give to developing their passions and creating memories. We know so many of you build lifelong friends from joining a group and we are so grateful to be part of that story.

Take a moment to watch our end of year video showcasing the highlights of the year and featuring a beautiful poem created and performed by Elena Chamberlain, Ellee Bamberger, and Keira Morley.

As exams are finishing up and preparations are beginning for the sell out Summer Ball, we want to say another huge thank you to everything we have achieved this year.

To those graduating: we’ll miss you, please stay in touch and visit us when you can. To those heading off for the summer: enjoy a well-deserved break! We can’t wait to welcome you back in September. And to those sticking around, especially our Postgraduate community: we’ve got events and activities planned for the summer, including the opening of the Waddling Duck, more details coming soon!

Thanks again for being part of such an incredible year at The SU!
