The SU Officers would like to express our continued support and solidarity with the trans community following the recent Supreme Court ruling concerning the legal definition of “woman” under the Equality Act 2010. While the full implications of this decision are still unfolding, we are firmly opposed to it and are committed—fully and without exception—to supporting our trans community and standing alongside them during this time.
The SU Bath remains unchanging in its values and we aim to maintain constant high levels of inclusivity, respect, and equality for everyone.
We understand that this ruling may bring with it feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, or confusion. Please know that you are not alone, and that there is support available to you.
