Wednesday 3 & Thursday 4 December – The SU

The Snowball is back! With Christmas around the corner, it's a perfect chance to let your hair down and celebrate the end of the semester with your teammates. The SU will be decked out in all things christmassy. There will be a casino, games room, Bomb Bar, VK bar and you will receive a free drink on arrival*.

*Free drink available only until 23:00.

This event is happening over two consecutive nights, sports clubs will be allocated a night to attend.

Doors open at 21:00. Event Closes 02:00. 

The Casino will close at 00:30.

You can purchase 2 tickets per person and you can bring someone from outside the University as long as they are over 18 and have photographic ID with them. 

Tickets will be in the form of an e-ticket. This will be emailed to you after you have purchased your ticket. Please ensure you bring this with you along with your library card. Tickets will be available for purchase from this webpage!

Important

Please make sure you have purchased your Sports Membership, as well as your specific club membership well in advance of ticket sales. The system can take up to 24 hrs to update, so if you leave it too late you will not be eligible to purchase a ticket. Unfortunately, we can't offer any refunds for this event. 

FAQ's

1. What does the ticket price include?

Your ticket includes entry to the event, a welcome drink and access to our games and casino. You must collect your welcome drink before 23:00.

2. What is the dress code?

This is a black-tie event so think formal with a bit of Christmas.

3. Are the tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable. You may transfer your ticket to another student. Just make sure you send them your QR code for entry.

4. Is the event accessible?

The event is accessible as with all our club night events in the SU. To reach the entrance marquee outside the SU, you should use the accessible lift on level 0, up to level 2 on the parade where you will meet security who will guide you into the SU. To reach the Plug and Tub you will need to use the Norwood House lift behind Pitstop and enter through the back of the Plug where you will be guided by a security guard.

5. Will there be a cloakroom?

There will be a cloakroom located in the entrance marquee. The cloakroom charge is £2.

6. Will there be photography at the event?

Yes, photographers and marketing will be taking photos throughout the event. They can help with Team photos at our photobooth outside the Market. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let them know.

7. Will food and drink be available?

The Plug and Tub bars will be open, serving drinks. Jason’s City Grill will be selling food by the bus stops from 20:00 onwards.

8. Is there an age restriction?

This event is open to over-18s only.

9. Is there a quiet space or chill out area?

There is an area in the SU bars office where first-aid are located. If you need to take a break please speak to a member of bar staff or security who can guide you to the welfare space
