Sustainable SU Action Plan
Right now, we have the Sustainable SU Action Plan, our commitment from April 2025 to ensure our long-term strategy for The SU. Whilst this provides us with a great direction, we know this is only a start! In the coming months, we will be looking at making a much more comprehensive plan that covers 3-5 years and is accountable within our governance structures.
Sustainability Badge
We’re relaunching the Sustainability Badge (formerly the Sustainability Award) to help SU Groups embed sustainability into everything they do. The updated Badge will support groups to make their events, activities, campaigns, and volunteering more sustainable, as well as develop new skills and awareness around environmental impact. This refreshed programme will give groups clear guidance, practical steps, and recognition for the positive changes they make throughout the year.
Sustainable SU Student Forum
The new student-led, SUstainable SU Student Forum provides an effective mechanism for tracking our progress, inputting into sustainability decisions and helping the SU ensure we and the university are on track to meet our targets. To join the forum, you can sign up here!
Supporting our Students
With our improved Sustainable SU Action Plan, we’ll be exploring ways to integrate sustainability into training, look at sustainable workshops and develop practical guides on running sustainable events. We’re also excited to work with the University to develop the Bath Award further, making sustainability a key competence for students who take part.
