What We Do
The University of Bath Swimming Club caters for a range of abilities, from fitness swimming through to International and Olympic representation. We have training and competition opportunities (including BUCS) no matter what your swimming goals. The club has progressed magnificently over the past few years growing to nearly 140 strong.
We have world class training facilities and run training sessions allowing progression at any level*. We also hold regular social activities so keep checking for regular updates and the times of these.
Recreational Swimming
A fun and relaxed group of swimmers with complete flexibility over training times. Looking to improve your fitness or get back into swimming this is the squad for you. We attend several competitions each year and are looking to expand this squad to cater for more advanced swimmers.
Competitive Swimming
We cater for competitive swimmers as part of our rec squad, offering lanes reserved for those wishing to push themselves. Coaching is led by volunteer coaches with supervision for the performance squad coaching team. We attend multiple Level 3 meets as well as county competitions throughout the year.
Performance Swimming
A comprehensive training programme for those targeting olympic qualification. The program includes land conditioning and upwards of 20 hours pool time a week led by our head coach Mark Skimming. If you want to be involved in one of the largest, most successful and proudest teams on campus, then join us today!
*Unfortunately the swimming club cannot offer lessons to non-swimmers. In order to join you must be a competent swimmer comfortable in a 50m pool.
