Recruitment Cycle
We recruit student staff throughout the year, with peak hiring periods ahead of:
- Freshers’ Week (September) – Applications typically open in late June/ Early July
- Semester 2 (January) – Occasional mid-year recruitment depending on team needs

Frequently Asked Questions
How many hours am I required to work? Most staff work around 2 shifts per week, which usually totals 8–10 hours. During flagship events like Freshers’ Week, Summer Ball, or Varsity, you may be asked to take on 3 or more shifts to help deliver these large-scale experiences.
Is there training — and when does it happen? Yes! For our Freshers’ Week intake, we host an in-person training day around 1–2 weeks before term starts. This session helps you settle in, meet the team, and get fully prepped for your role.
