Who we are

We are Crochet Society- new for 2022-23! We’d love to meet you regardless of your experience, just come along to any of our Tuesday sessions.

What we do

We meet weekly to crochet and knit together (currently Thursdays 5-7pm and normally in the Edge but check our Instagram for updates)

Our sessions are very relaxed- feel free to drop in as and when you can. At these sessions you are welcome to:

  • Join in with our group projects – we vote on what these are through our Instagram and then let you know what materials you’ll need. We then spend a few sessions working on them together- our last project was beanies and we’ll be voting on our next one soon. We try and make these projects as beginner friendly as possible so everyone can have a go!
  • Work on your own projects
  • Come as a beginner and learn the basics!
  • Just come along for a chat and get to know us!

We are also in the process of organising a range of socials for semester 2 but keep an eye on our Instagram for more details.

Why join?

We cater to all abilities- from those brand new to all things crochet to those who have been knitting obsessively ever since their Grandma taught them!

We are a super friendly group who learns from each other- there is always someone around to help you!

Crochet and knitting can reduce stress, perfect for unwinding after a day of lectures. It can also boost your productivity if you’re struggling to find motivation at the moment.

Crochet is a great skill to have- it requires very little equipment and you can do it anywhere!
