This February, put on your thinking caps and join EWB for an exciting two-day design sprint.

What is a design sprint? Design Sprint is a time-constrained process to tackle design problems, prototype, and test with potential customers within 5 days. It involves exploring the design challenge, sketching ideas, deciding on a focus, building a prototype, and testing it. The book “How To Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days” (by Jake Knapp) refers to it as “The ‘greatest hits’ of business strategy, innovation, behavioural science, and more — packaged into a step-by-step process that any team can use.”

Challenge yourself, test your problem-solving, design thinking, present, and have some fun doing what you love with no academic pressure! Spend two days, four hours each, with your group mates to solve a problem and build a simple prototype. It is a rewarding process with a lot to learn but also an opportunity to get a taste of what it's like to dive into real-world design problems.
