Big Pit is a real coal mine and one of Britain's leading mining museums.
You will be taken on an organised Guided tour of the mines at 11am where you will go 300 feet underground with a real miner and see what life was like for the thousands of men who worked at the coal face. Then you have the rest of the time to look around the Museum at your leisure.
