Have you ever walked on the canal on the eastern side of Bath? Bath is attractive, but the walk just gets *more* beautiful as you get out of Bath!

Wenkai, the PGA Doctoral Student Experience Rep, is leading a walk towards local beauty spot Warleigh Weir. It's a great walk, with gorgeous countryside, narrowboats and views of the rolling hills around Bath. No traffic, apart from the occasional cyclist! It's almost completely flat, so there is definitely no need to be an experienced walker.

The walk

The walk will start from the bottom of Bathwick Hill, at the U1 Bus Stop (St Mary's Church).

The first part of the walk is to Bathampton, with a stop in the middle at a canalside pub, The George to grab a drink.

After that, we'll walk towards Warleigh Weir. We should reach Warleigh Weir in 2-3 hours.

From there, you can take a bus home or walk back to where we started (or if you're really enjoying the walk, walk back to campus).

Please bring your own food and drink. The difficulty of the route is 2/5, so please wear comfortable shoes and put on sun protection, as well as keeping hydrated.

It's free to sign up, it's just helpful for Wenkai to know how many walkers to expect!

There's also a Facebook event if you want to let your friends know.
