UBLS are excited to welcome both new and returning students back to Bath for the 2020/2021 academic year! We understand this year will be very different to most, but we want to reassure our members that we are working alongside the University to provide you with the best experience possible…and that begins with Fresher’s Week!
Our two introductory sessions at the Virtual Fresher’s Fair will give you an opportunity to meet the Committee and other prospective members alike, as well as sharing with you our exciting ambitions for the year ahead. We will use the time to provide you with a greater insight into the services, events and support UBLS offers, and how we have developed these to overcome the new and unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic.
The session will be repeated across the two days and is open to everyone from ALL DEGREE DISCIPLINES. Whether you’re striving to pursue a legal career or simply interested in law and the employability benefits of joining the society, we want to meet you.

What We Do
Founded in January 2018, the University of Bath Law Society is the only law society in England that runs without a School of Law at their university. UBLS intends to establish Bath as a principle provider of non-law talent to leading law firms and create a supportive network for students striving to pursue a legal career or simply interested in law.
UBLS host a variety of events throughout the academic year. Each semester, we invite solicitors, barristers and admissions tutors; host networking socials with members and Bath alumni; organise academic conference trips; and support students completing applications to Law School and firms. UBLS provides an essential service to students by connecting members with the broader legal community and bridging the gap for aspiring lawyers, no matter what stage of their career journey they may be.
