Kayaking taster

Welcome to kayaking!! The best sports club in Bath (even if we do say so ourselves). While we spend a lot of our free time doing cool stuff like whitewater kayaking and canoe polo tournaments across the country, we also spend a lot of time practicing skills and training in the nice, warm university pool. So, how can you get involved? 

• All abilities welcome. 
• Taster sessions held in the university pool in the STV across freshers week and the two following weeks.
• Bring a swimming costume, shorts and T-shirt to wear in the pool, and a towel and change of clothes for after. 
• Meet outside the STV entrance around 15 minutes before the session - look for the paddles! 
• The university requires that you do a swim test before you get in a kayak. We hold these at the start of our pool taster sessions. You will be required to: swim two lengths of the pool (100m total), tread water for 5 minutes and climb out of the pool unassisted.
