Our Club

The University of Bath Golf Society is one of the oldest and certainly one of the best sports clubs at the University with a large student membership and a thriving competitive atmosphere.

The University of Bath Golf Club aims to get more people involved in golf at all levels, whether that be through coaching, competitions, or matches against other Universities.

Our aim is to get as many students as possible to play and enjoy the benefits of golf during their time at the University of Bath. Whether you are at an elite level, play casually, or never picked up a golf club before we will ensure there is something to offer you!

We run two BUCS teams (1st and 2nd) and have a competitive development team (3rd).

Reasons to Join Us

Squads

We offer weekly coaching and matches for the two BUCS teams and friendly matches for our 3rd team.

Recreational Golf

We hold a weekly Wednesday roll-up at Bath Golf Club, providing you with an opportunity to meet players of similar abilities. Our biggest roll-up had over 60 players and typically finishes with a pint in the clubhouse.

We provide weekly lessons with PGA professionals for beginner, intermediate and advanced golfers.

We host a variety of recreational golf competitions throughout the year. For example, a Christmas Jumper Texas Scramble, Stableford Winter League, and the annual Beesting Championship.

There will also be the opportunity to get involved in away days!

Socials

We have themed socials every other Wednesday attended by all golfing abilities. Most of our socials begin at 'The Lamb and Lion' or Revs and culminate in a trip to the club campus night SCORE or Labrinyth!

Our packed social schedule features annual events such as 'Snowball' (Christmas dinner at Bath Golf Club followed by a Christmas-themed score) and an end-of-semester awards night.

Bath Golf Club

We have a strong relationship with Bath Golf Club and it's right on your doorstep. Students can join at a reduced rate of £385, getting you unlimited golf for the academic year!

If you don't fancy committing to the full year, they also have a student green fee rate (new for 2022/3!). This means it is only £20 to play at off-peak times and £15 if you attend any event organised by us! For more details see 'Where We Play'.
