The SU Bath is recruiting Independent Trustees that are ready to challenge, advise and support us as we settle into a changing landscape post-pandemic and begin to look at our next strategic plan.
About The SU Bath
In The SU Bath, our student leaders and elected representatives are supported by our professional and experienced SU Staff Team to create opportunities that positively impact the local community.
Together we: Promote student interest and welfare; Provide support and advice; Represent the student community with the University and others; Provide social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities.
As a students' union, we are driven by our belief that when students come together, they can shape the communities they are part of for the better. Our Board of Trustees is instrumental in ensuring we turn our belief into practice for our students.
We are currently recruiting 2 Independent Trustees to start in March and 1 Independent Trustee to start in June. Our Trustees help to hold The SU to the high standard we expect of ourselves. This is done through a clear strategic direction, by ensuring the governance is of the highest standard and by holding the Chief Executive to account for the management and administration of The SU.
At The SU our trustees serve a term of 3 years with the opportunity for a trustee to apply for a second term.

Interviews are provisionally planned for Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th February. Alternate dates w/c 13th February may be accommodated on request.
Interviews will be conducted at The SU on the Claverton Down Campus in Bath. Online interviews can be requested.
Travel expenses for interviews can be reimbursed in line with the University’s Travel and expenses policy.
