Main session for everyone - Every Monday 9:00 PM - 10:15 PM
Independent training (experienced gymnasts only) - Every Thursday 9:15 PM - 10:15 PM
Strength and conditioning (Open to all) - Tuesdays 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM
We train twice a week at Baskerville's Gymnastics Club on Englishcombe Lane in Oldfield Park. Unfortunately we are not based on campus due to facility availability, but fear not, we are only a bus ride away! Some gymnasts also train at City of Bristol Gymnastics Club when we have student cars available to drive us there during the week and have a discounted rate for their adult sessions.
Our main session is open to all levels of experience from complete beginner to seasoned competitor. In fact, most of our members have never done gymnastics before university. Our main training sessions consist of a warm up, followed by basic skills training on different equipment, followed by some free time and a cool down. We have qualified coaches running the session who will teach you skills on different apparatus and talk you through all the progressions. We are always happy to help and are open to suggestions, so if you would like specific help or chance to practice on something new then just ask!
Our Thursday sessions are for more experienced gymnasts as we have a bit more of a free reign of the gym without any dedicated coaching. If you have done gymnastics before university you will be invited along to this session by a member of the committee. If you are new to gymnastics at university you can come long once you've learned some basic skills and can safely train independently.

Reasons to Join Us
We feel it would have been easier to explain the reasons not to join us, because quite frankly there aren't any!
Joining us only costs £36 for the year, which gives you access to all training sessions and competitions/shows available. However, we are a very easy-going club and will not pressure you into anything, whether you are a seasoned gymnast, or are just starting.
Joining us we will provide all the help you need, whether it is improving your handstands, or perfecting your backflips.
But let's all be honest, the biggest reason for you to join us is that we can teach you to do really cool things you can show off to your friends!
