WHAT WE DO:
We're the University of Bath's brand-new Ice Skating Society! Whether you're a complete beginner, haven't skated in years, or already feel at home on the ice, there's a place for you! ⛸️
WHAT WE OFFER:
Regular On-Ice Sessions – Fortnightly/monthly trips to local ice rinks, including Planet Ice Bristol throughout the year and Bath on Ice during the winter. Sessions are open to all abilities, giving members the chance to skate regularly and build confidence on the ice.
Off-Ice Training - Weekly off-ice sessions focusing on improving balance, flexibility, mobility and strength.
Competition Watch Parties - We’d love to organise watch parties for major skating events across all disciplines.
Trips to Skating Events - There may even be opportunities to attend major skating events, giving members the chance to experience the sport live.
WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?
Fitness - Ice skating is such a fun way to stay active while improving a wide range of skills along the way.
Friendship - An amazing part of joining is making lots of new friends who share the same interests and feeling part of a wonderful community!
Social - There’ll be lots of chances to spend time together off the ice too, with Wednesday night socials, including themed nights and dressing up!
More than just skating - You don’t have to skate every week — or even skate at all — to be part of the society! You’re more than welcome to come along to events and get involved in whatever way you like.
Inclusive - We really want this society to be a place where everyone feels welcome, comfortable and included from the start! All abilities, genders and ethnicities are welcome.

Membership is £10 for the year and can be purchased through the SU website. Once you’ve joined, make sure to join our WhatsApp group so you can keep up to date with skating sessions, events and society updates. Feel free to follow our Instagram for announcements, photos and more. We’re also putting together a Handbook with more details. Coming soon once everything has been confirmed!
