Are you looking for an hourly paid job that can be flexible around your study commitments? The West Hospitality Team at University of Bath are seeking 20 casual food & beverage assistants and four casual general assistants (a back of house position) to help in their food outlets for semester one. 

Ideally you will have customer service experience and will be available from late Sept/ early October to work. Before work can start, paid mandatory in person training must take place, which is on campus in the morning of Monday 21 September so you must be available to attend this in order for your application to be considered.

These role are available in 4W Café, Pitstop, Fountain, Claverton Rooms, Parade and food direct.

Pay rate: £15.07 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay

• Putting away deliveries
• Taking stock to other outlets around campus
• Washing up and cleaning 
• Occasionally helping commis chefs with kitchen duties.

We require the following:

• Flexibility to work on shifts that could be mornings from 07:00 and evenings to 21:00, weekends & weekdays 
• Available for a minimum of two shifts per week (approximately 8 hours) 
• The ideal candidate should have experience of working in a customer facing role 
• The ability to work in a safe environment and protecting others around you.
• You should have a proactive attitude and be prepared to work under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment.
• You must be proactive on submitting timesheets weekly and ensuring your availability is updated on our rotacloud system to ensure we can issue your shifts according to your availability.

Pay and extra information:

In return we will offer good pay rates of £13.45 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay this equates to £15.07 per hour).

The positions are on a casual basis and hours will therefore be flexible as and when required by the business. Before you start you will need to attend mandatory paid food safety training, which takes place on 21 September 09:30-12:00. Shifts will be available usually within 10 days of completing the training (as rotas are done 10 days in advance) for the duration of Semester 1. Pay is monthly in arrears on 25 of each month. Full training will be provided.
