Looking for a rewarding and flexible job on campus? The Students’ Union Bars & Events team is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to join our kitchen staff. What you’ll be doing:

• Fast-paced and friendly working environment within a busy university campus
• Flexible shifts available, including evenings and weekends
• Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred but full training can be provided
• Duties include food preparation, maintaining cleanliness standards, pot wash, and supporting the wider kitchen team
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures desirable
• Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain high standards under pressure 
• Ideal for candidates with a positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Working within a diverse and welcoming university community

What we’re looking for:

While kitchen experience is a plus, it’s not essential. We value reliability, teamwork, and a positive work ethic. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a fun and collaborative kitchen environment, we’ll teach you the rest.

Important info:

• Mandatory in-person training during the week commencing 14 September 2026 (Date to be confirmed)
• Start date: 19 September 2026
• Minimum 2 shifts per week
• Shifts range from 4–6 hours
• Pay: £13.65/hour + holiday pay = £15.07/hour
