The Students’ Union Bars & Events team are looking for dedicated and confident individuals to join our award-winning venues as Plug & Tub Venue Supervisors. This role is ideal for students who want flexible on-campus work while taking on real responsibility in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

We’re looking for hard-working individuals who can embody this spirit — people who are proactive, calm under pressure, and ready to act as ambassadors for the SU Bars in everything they do.

As a Venue Supervisor, you will be the senior staff member on duty, responsible for running the bar independently in the absence of Managers. This includes overseeing service, supporting staff, maintaining safety and welfare standards, handling customer issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Bar and Kitchen throughout your shift.

Requirements

• Must be available to work weekends and occasional weekday evenings
• Must attend in-person training during week commencing 9 September 2026
• Expected start date: 16 September 2026
• Interviews held mid/late August (in-person or online)
• Freshers’ Week: minimum of four shifts
• Term time: minimum of two shifts per week
• Shifts range from 4–6 hours

Pay

• £13.86 per hour + Holiday Pay = £15.53 per hour
