Details
Students are required for assistance at the OSCE Examination for postgraduate sport & exercise medicine and football Medicine students (Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026). Examination candidates are all qualified doctors or physios who are being assessed on their clinical examination skills.
We need three students on Friday and six on Saturday students to act as ‘patients’ on whom the doctor/physio can practise their sports injury examination skills. ‘Patients’ might have their legs, arms or back examined as part of the process (e.g. ‘Patients’ might be asked to extend and contract their arms/legs or have their walking style assessed). Women would need to wear a sports bra; vest top and shorts and men vest top and shorts.
The examination will be based on campus.
Person & Skills Required
We are looking for students who can commit to working on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026 in advance. This is an extremely important examination for the candidates, who travel from across the country (and sometimes the world) to sit the exam. It is therefore vital that students are reliable.
The exam candidates will be under a degree of stress during the exam; therefore, student patients will need to act accordingly.
Students must also be able to understand and communicate clearly in English.
Hours of Work
Friday 11 September 08:00 – 17:15 approx.
Saturday 12 September 08:00 – 16:00 approx.
