You’ll need to be someone who is:

  • confident
  • enthusiastic
  • happy to be in busy / loud environments for extended periods of time
  • comfortable answering questions
  • able to initiate conversations with students who might feel nervous about speaking to you

We’ll tell you everything you need to know about the topics we want to share with students, so that you feel able to talk about them confidently and answer any questions they might have. It’s not essential, but if you have experience taking part in these initiatives, it will be a bonus.

We’ll kit you out in a branded T-shirt and provide the merch, so that you truly feel part of the team, and try wherever we can to have at least two ambassadors working together at any given time.

Our ambassadors will need to work at some key events, so you will have to commit to being available on 14 September from 13:30 – 15:30 for induction training, and then on at least two of the following dates:

  • Friday 18 September (12:00 – 17:00)
  • Saturday 19 September All day (10:00 – 19:00)
  • Sunday 20 September All day (10:00 – 19:00)
  • Monday 21 September (17:00 – 20:00)

This role is ideal for students who enjoy meeting new people, building confidence in professional communication, and helping others make the most of their University experience. It is open to all current students at the University of Bath, regardless of study stage, year, or course. We welcome applications from everyone, even if you don’t have any direct experience of working at events.

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show us that you’re an outgoing, confident person who can share information in an enthusiastic way with other students. We’ll also need to see that you can work independently and show initiative, as there won’t always be a permanent member of staff at the events with you.

If you’re an international student, please consider any restrictions you might have on your visa before applying.
