The casual IT and Lecture Room Support Technician will provide professional, effective, knowledgeable and rapid audio-visual and IT support to staff and students in teaching spaces across the University of Bath Claverton campus, you will be required to respond to urgent requests at short notice and so will need to be mobile across campus, the role will also include the checking and pro-active maintenance of our teaching spaces and so may also on occasion require handling of heavy objects and occasional heavy lifting.
Knowledge and experience of audio-visual equipment such as projectors, microphones and cabling alongside a working knowledge of computer hardware and software including desktop PCs, Macs, and laptops is a distinct advantage although training will be provided. Customer service and excellent organisation and communications skills are essential.
There may on occasion be the opportunity for extra hours either covering Lecture room support or at the IT Service Desk in the Library which is open during the working day.
Hours required
Various Shifts Available during teaching weeks (you do not have to be available everyday but the same days each week would be preferable)
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 09:00
Tuesday – Thursday 17:00 – 19:30
Friday 17:00 – 18:30
