Welcome to Korfball!

What is Korfball?

It's a Dutch ball game similar to netball and basketball. A team of 8 players (4 girls and 4 boys) is split into two divisions, 4 in defence and 4 in attack, girls mark girls and boys mark boys. They have to stay in their half of the court and you switch ends every two goals scored. You can't shoot whilst being defended (defender is within an arms length from their shoulder to the attacker with their hand up and between the attacker and the post). You can shoot and play 360 degrees around the korf.

Important Dates

We will have a stall at the sports fair so come and say hi! It will be on Wednesday 23rd September from 11am-4pm.

We are hoping to have 2 taster sessions for everyone to come along and give it a go! Timings to be released soon.

Teams

We are very excited to announce that, for the first time, we are entering the season with 2 teams! This allows more players to have the opportunity to play competitively. The first team will play in SWKA 1, whilst the second team will play in SWKA 2. The first team will also have the opportunity to compete in BUCS.

We are hoping to run a Korfball trip to Eindhoven in the Netherlands in April 2027. More information to come!
