Recent reports suggest that gas and electricity bills are set to rise in the near future due to global events causing an increase in energy costs.

The question you need to ask yourself is, should I fix my energy tariff or stay on the Price Cap?

You can find your cheapest fix, based on usage, by doing a full Cheap Energy Club comparison and if you need help choosing a tariff, you can use MoneySavingExpert's Pick Me A Tariff tool.

For students living in halls, this will not apply as your rent includes the cost of utility bills.

Please visit the university's Cost of living advice and support for students webpage for advice on what steps you can take to reduce your utility bills.

If you find yourself in a position where you are struggling with your finances, please contact Student Money Advice.
